Playoff and Seeding Format

Could someone please explain to me how the round robin seeding format works. I’m getting several versions of how people “think” it’s supposed to go.

The average division has 7 teams which means a team will play all the opposing teams 4 times for a 24 games season. Men’s B, C & D has 8 teams this year which would be a 21 games season (too few games) or 28 games (too many). The decision was made to go with 21 games and then divide each division into the top 4 and lower 4 and play a round robin to get in the 3 games to bring the season to 24. After the 21st game the teams will be seeded and updated in Teampages. Games will be a coin toss and split the Umpire fee.
